Financial Business Analyst, Power BI, Data Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Burundi.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main IT partner for specific Finance reporting areas.

• Work collaboratively with Finance stakeholders on P&L reporting, balance sheet reporting, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, management accounting, and operational finance reporting.

• Collect, analyze, document, and critically evaluate business requirements.

• Take ownership of reports, dashboards, KPIs, datasets, and analytics products throughout their entire lifecycle.

• Identify source systems and data owners; analyze data structures and specify integration requirements.

• Design scalable reporting solutions that adhere to architectural standards and governance requirements.

• Develop semantic models, business calculations, KPIs, and reusable datasets.

• Create ETL/ELT components, Fabric artifacts, Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.

• Quickly develop prototypes and MVPs to confirm business value.

• Ensure data quality, perform reconciliation, facilitate user acceptance testing, and confirm production readiness.

• Maintain documentation for business requirements, solutions, data mappings, KPI definitions, and operating procedures.

• Oversee enhancements, change requests, and report optimization efforts.

• Collaborate with Purchasing, Finance, IT, external partners, and corporate and regional business and IT teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4-7 years of experience in BI, analytics, finance systems, or business analysis roles.

• Strong background in blending business analysis with solution development responsibilities.

• Proficient hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, DAX, and data modeling.

• Solid understanding of finance and controlling processes.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX2012, D365 Finance & Operations, or similar ERP solutions.

• Ability to effectively communicate with finance business users and technical teams.

• Experience managing reporting products from start to finish.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in English communication.
