Financial Business Analyst, Power BI, Data Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Burundi.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main IT liaison for assigned Finance reporting areas

• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders on P&L reporting, balance sheet reporting, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, management accounting, and operational finance reporting

• Collect, evaluate, document, and challenge business requirements

• Take ownership of reports, dashboards, KPIs, datasets, and analytics products throughout their entire lifecycle

• Identify source systems and data owners; analyze data structures and specify integration needs

• Create scalable reporting solutions that adhere to architectural standards and governance requirements

• Develop semantic models, business calculations, KPIs, and reusable datasets

• Construct ETL/ELT components, Fabric artifacts, Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions

• Quickly create prototypes and MVPs to assess business value

• Ensure data quality, reconciliation, user acceptance testing, and readiness for production

• Maintain business requirements, solution documentation, data mappings, KPI definitions, and operational procedures

• Oversee enhancements, change requests, and report optimization initiatives

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in BI, analytics, finance systems, or business analysis roles

• Strong experience in merging business analysis with solution development responsibilities

• Practical expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, DAX, and data modeling

• Comprehensive understanding of finance and controlling processes

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX2012, D365 Finance & Operations, or similar ERP solutions

• Capability to communicate effectively with finance business users and technical teams

• Experience managing reporting products from start to finish

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in English communication
