Financial Business Analyst – Power BI, Data Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Burundi, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main IT liaison for assigned Finance reporting sectors

• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders on P&L reporting, balance sheet reporting, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, management accounting, and operational finance reporting

• Collect, analyze, document, and critically evaluate business needs

• Take ownership of reports, dashboards, KPIs, datasets, and analytics products throughout their entire lifecycle

• Identify source systems and data owners; analyze data structures and establish integration requirements

• Create scalable reporting solutions that comply with architectural standards and governance policies

• Develop semantic models, business calculations, KPIs, and reusable datasets

• Construct ETL/ELT components, Fabric artifacts, Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions

• Quickly create prototypes and MVPs to assess business value

• Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, user acceptance testing, and readiness for production

• Maintain business requirements, solution documentation, data mappings, KPI definitions, and operational procedures

• Oversee enhancements, change requests, and report optimization efforts

• Engage with Purchasing, Finance, IT, external partners, and both corporate and regional business and IT teams

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in BI, analytics, finance systems, or business analysis roles

• Strong background in combining business analysis with solution development tasks

• Practical expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, DAX, and data modeling

• Comprehensive understanding of finance and controlling processes

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX2012, D365 Finance & Operations, or similar ERP systems

• Ability to communicate effectively with finance business users and technical teams

• Experience in managing reporting products from start to finish

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient English communication abilities
