Financial Business Analyst – Power BI, Data Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Burundi, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main IT liaison for specific Finance reporting areas.

• Partner with Finance stakeholders in areas such as P&L reporting, balance sheet reporting, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, management accounting, and operational finance reporting.

• Collect, analyze, document, and critically assess business requirements.

• Take ownership of reports, dashboards, KPIs, datasets, and analytics products throughout their entire lifecycle.

• Identify source systems and data owners; analyze data structures and establish integration needs.

• Create scalable reporting solutions that comply with architectural standards and governance requirements.

• Develop semantic models, business calculations, KPIs, and reusable datasets.

• Construct ETL/ELT components, Fabric artifacts, Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.

• Quickly develop prototypes and MVPs to validate business value.

• Ensure data quality, reconciliation, user acceptance testing, and readiness for production.

• Keep business requirements, solution documentation, data mappings, KPI definitions, and operating procedures up to date.

• Manage enhancements, change requests, and optimization initiatives for reports.

• Collaborate with Purchasing, Finance, IT, external partners, and both corporate and regional business and IT teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in BI, analytics, finance systems, or business analysis roles.

• Proven experience in combining business analysis with solution development responsibilities.

• Proficient hands-on skills with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, DAX, and data modeling.

• Strong understanding of finance and controlling processes.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX2012, D365 Finance & Operations, or similar ERP solutions.

• Capability to communicate effectively with finance business users as well as technical teams.

• Experience managing reporting products from end to end.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Fluent in English with strong communication abilities.
