Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the Finance Manager in financial reporting, managing customer deliverables, overseeing subcontractor activities, and executing daily program control tasks for the EPA ESSET program.

• Facilitate daily program operations through project staffing, reviewing and approving non-labor invoices, and executing various program control duties.

• Aid in the creation of burn rate reports across program cost centers, funding pools, and contract line items.

• Monitor subcontractor funding and expenditures, review and approve vouchers, and support the overall subcontract process, including funding requests.

• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed by program and corporate leadership.

• Assist with contract deliverables, invoicing procedures, financial analysis, forecasting, and other financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tasks.

• Work collaboratively with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement, and other corporate support departments to enhance business operations.

• Coordinate with customers and program personnel.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field with 5-8 years of experience (or equivalent experience).

• Experience in Government Contracting.

• Familiarity with the principles of CAS, FAR, and GAAP.

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to perform daily tasks with minimal supervision.

• Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust.

• Experience with the Deltek Costpoint accounting system and Cognos Reporting.

• Background in managing large-scale Cost type contracts.

• Detail-oriented and data-driven.

• Comfortable interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders at various levels.

• Demonstrates a high level of accountability, transparency, and consistency.
