Finance Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist the global Tax team in establishing a systematic, audit-ready overview of tax deliverables across various countries.

• Keep the master global tax deliverables tracker updated for all filing categories by country.

• Develop and manage direct tax trackers that include corporate tax filings, advance tax, WHT compliance, provision-support schedules, and transfer pricing documentation status.

• Create and oversee indirect tax trackers that encompass GST/VAT/service tax filings and input-credit reconciliation status.

• Maintain a log for tax notices and assessments, documenting receipt dates, authorities, issue summaries, response deadlines, statuses, and responsible parties.

• Evaluate current SOPs for deficiencies and outdated information, and highlight items for input from subject-matter experts.

• Write and revise SOPs using a standardized template.

• Assist in the preparer-reviewer sign-off process by recording preparers, reviewers, and sign-off dates.

• Utilize Claude to create tracker frameworks, convert unstructured data into tracker rows or SOP drafts, and develop simple dashboards or summary views.

• Review and verify AI-generated output in collaboration with the tax team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Taxation.

• Basic knowledge of corporate tax and indirect tax compliance principles.

• Strong written communication skills for SOP and tracker documentation.

• Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and basic dashboard creation.

• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT for drafting and organizing work.

• Detail-oriented and well-organized.

• Comfortable with structured and repetitive tasks.
