This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the entire financial lifecycle for assigned data center infrastructure projects, encompassing budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete, and margins.
• Develop and defend cost-to-complete forecasts while applying earned value and cost-variance methodologies.
• Monitor actual expenditures against the budget, clarify variances, and implement corrective measures.
• Oversee project cash flow, billing milestones, retention, and working capital management.
• Implement ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards for long-term and construction-type contracts.
• Manage project accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, aging, accounts payable, subcontractor and vendor invoices, and payment terms.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable with project costs and revenues, while keeping an eye on over/under billings.
• Handle commercial and contract administration tasks, including pricing, payment terms, retention, liquidated damages, warranties, and risk allocation.
• Ensure contract compliance through proper notices, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
• Lead efforts related to change orders, claims, dispute economics, approvals, budgeting, forecasting, and billing.
• Engage with customers, vendors, joint venture partners, legal counsel, and internal leadership.
• Collaborate with Procurement on sourcing, supplier selection, purchase commitments, buyouts, negotiations, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Maintain project risk registers, quantify exposure, manage contingencies, and provide early warnings to leadership.
• Prepare project reviews, dashboards, and reports for executives, investors, and lenders.
• Assist with bid and proposal pricing, sensitivity analysis, and go/no-go decisions.
• Support the implementation of NetSuite and the enhancement of project-accounting reporting.
• Promote continuous improvement with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in project finance, commercial or project management, or FP&A—preferably in construction, infrastructure, data centers, or energy sectors.
• Proficient knowledge of US construction and EPC contract structures, including AIA, ConsensusDocs, and EPC/design-build models.
• Familiarity with percentage-of-completion accounting, change-order, and claims procedures.
• Understanding of project accounting principles, earned value, cost variance, and cash flow management.
• Strong financial modeling capabilities.
• Experience with ERP and project-accounting systems.
• Knowledge of the NetSuite ecosystem is a plus.
• Excellent contract management and negotiation abilities.
• Insight into change-order, claims, risk management, procurement, buyout, and cost management processes.
• Capability to influence project managers, senior stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors without direct authority.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
