Finance and Audit Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist the Audit and Finance teams in organizing and executing designated projects.

• Help assess business processes, information systems, and internal controls.

• Examine financial, operational, system, or control-related data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Clearly and systematically document procedures, analyses, conclusions, and supporting evidence.

• Create or improve dashboards, data analytics, or automation solutions.

• Engage in project meetings to share progress, raise questions, and discuss potential issues.

• Manage company and audit information in line with confidentiality, security, and data handling protocols.

• Utilize education and skills in real-world Finance and Audit projects at DIRECTV.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled students in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with key corporate financial success metrics, information systems, and fundamental IT security concepts, including network and system administration.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Interest in AI tools, process automation, or related technologies (e.g., Claude, Copilot, Power BI, Python, etc.).

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks in a virtual work setting.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and attention to detail.

• Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and presenting work to stakeholders.

• Must possess full U.S. work authorization, both now and in the future.
