This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Install, troubleshoot, configure, and maintain wireless communication systems, including both broadband and narrowband radios, antennas, and cellular modems.
• Set up field networking and automation equipment, such as routers, switches, media converters, and POE injectors.
• Collaborate with engineers via phone to troubleshoot and configure routers and switches using Command Line Interface (CLI).
• Terminate and test Ethernet and coaxial cabling, encompassing CAT5e/6/6A, RG coax, LMR coax, heliax, and fiber optic cables.
• Install rigid and EMT conduits.
• Work with AC and DC power systems, including breakers, fuses, batteries, power distribution systems, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).
• Set up, test, troubleshoot, and assemble 12-, 24-, and 48-volt DC battery arrays.
• Install grounding and lightning protection systems.
• Install and mount equipment cabinets.
• Operate manlift baskets, bucket trucks, and scissor lifts.
• Transport equipment and materials to job sites by pulling trailers.
• Manage small-scale projects.
• Accurately complete documentation and required forms in a timely manner.
• Travel to various locations to fulfill job responsibilities.
• Support and comply with the Corporate Health & Safety Program.
• Dig trenches to install underground equipment as necessary.
• Perform additional work-related tasks as assigned by management.
• Provide exceptional front-line customer service while engaging with clients.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in the field of wireless or network communications is essential.
• Technical school or an associate degree in an electrical or IT program, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
• RF field experience along with a basic understanding of RF principles is required.
• Experience with repeaters and duplexers is preferred.
• Training or certification in configuring and troubleshooting broadband and narrowband radios or successful completion of E2E University training is required.
• Proficient in Windows-based operating systems and possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Adobe, and Google programs.
• Familiarity with command line interfaces (CLI) and the ability to set static IP addresses on computers is necessary.
• Ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and software applications.
• Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record, and be able to drive a vehicle.
• Strong skills in customer service, troubleshooting, investigation, problem-solving, organization, and interpersonal communication are essential.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Must be able to climb ladders, work from heights up to 50 feet, lift up to 50 pounds, stand for 8–10+ hours, and operate power tools and machinery.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time is required.
• Full-time employment.
• Availability outside of normal business hours may be required on an on-call basis.
