This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Offer technical assistance to address network performance challenges and aid in resolving outages.
• Oversee smaller projects or segments, providing accurate updates on status and progress.
• Identify and propose enhancements related to maintenance and repair processes.
• Collaborate with senior technicians to create job aids, scopes of work, and procedural documentation.
• Complete necessary training to stay updated on systems, products, and organizational standards.
• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned by business management.
• Provide support to the Engineering & Operations team across Western Pennsylvania to Northern West Virginia.
• Engage in travel within the market, including occasional day trips to nearby areas and potential assistance along the I-79 corridor.
• Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and experience considered equivalent (Required).
• Preferred fields of study include Vocational/Technical Training or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in Field Operations and maintenance.
• 2–4 years of experience in wireless telecommunications or a related field.
• Understanding of electronics and interconnecting circuits, including RF transmitters, antenna systems, AAV, fiber, microwave radio, AC-DC power systems, and AI.
• Practical knowledge of Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture, components, and operations.
• Familiarity with wireless backhaul technologies and configurations, including microwave and fiber-based solutions.
• Proven experience with, or capacity to learn, RAN equipment and 5G NR standards.
• Working knowledge of base station equipment, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Awareness of disaster recovery protocols and the ability to implement contingency plans.
• Capability to systematically identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues across hardware and software systems.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and carry out field assignments while managing time, resources, and priorities.
• Competence in providing hands-on technical support and field-level assistance.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Internet Protocol, with a willingness to use AI-driven tools.
• Experience with fiber test, line, and antenna test equipment is preferred.
• Availability for flexible hours, including day and night shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation.
• Physical ability to lift 50–70 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company-assigned vehicle.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Required to travel within the market.
• This is a DOT-regulated position.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
