This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of the AISR Full Motion Video architecture along with related mission applications.
• Manage Linux servers, applications, network devices, and the supporting infrastructure.
• Oversee system health, responding to incidents, alarms, and customer support inquiries.
• Conduct routine maintenance, implement software updates, make configuration adjustments, and perform operational checks.
• Aid in the functioning and upkeep of the FMV Cross Domain Solution that facilitates data sharing between U.S. and partner networks.
• Diagnose issues related to applications, networks, hardware, and operating systems.
• Record technical problems, corrective measures, and insights gained in Government-approved tracking systems.
• Refer complex technical challenges to senior engineering personnel and Tier III engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Government staff, mission partners, and internal engineering groups to address operational challenges.
• Assist with site assessments, equipment installations, system enhancements, technology refresh initiatives, and operational testing.
• Support approved engineering modifications while adhering to configuration management standards.
• Engage in operational readiness tasks, system validation, and field testing efforts.
• Provide updates regarding system performance, customer concerns, and operational risks.
• Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and engineering records.
• Ensure 24/7 operational support for overseas DoD AISR/FMV operations.
• Possession of an active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance with the capability to acquire and sustain a TS/SCI clearance or SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field; or an Associate's degree with equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in supporting enterprise information systems, networking, systems administration, or technical operations.
• Experience in supporting Linux and networked systems in a production setting.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar.
• Experience in managing enterprise applications and Linux-based servers.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience in troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, applications, and network connectivity problems.
• Capability to identify technical issues using logs, monitoring tools, and diagnostic utilities.
• Experience in supporting production information systems within a structured operational framework.
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support overseas customer locations.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Preferred: Previous military or DoD contractor experience.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting overseas or forward-deployed operations.
• Preferred: Security+, Linux+, CCNA, or equivalent industry certification.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting ISR, FMV, or intelligence systems.
