
Field Surveyor – 100% Travel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Engage in continuous travel to various project locations across multiple U.S. states, depending on business requirements and project timelines.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager to provide accurate surveying services.
• Ensure that construction operations adhere to design specifications and project blueprints.
• Set up, adjust, and operate surveying equipment, data collectors, and GPS systems to accurately measure distances, elevations, and angles.
• Perform soil or rock grade surveys and evaluate elevations for grading purposes.
• Read and interpret design plans to deliver precise survey data.
• Establish vertical and horizontal control networks utilizing GPS systems.
• Set up and calibrate base station poles effectively.
• Install and manage survey files on GPS-equipped dozers and motor graders.
• Diagnose and resolve machine control issues as they arise.
• Organize and maintain survey data, field notes, and project files using SharePoint, Propeller, and data collectors.
• Provide mentorship in surveying techniques and GPS system utilization.
• Promote company standards and best practices related to surveying functions.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time to support multiple job sites throughout the U.S.
• Completion of a two-year technical engineering/surveying program or a combination of a high school diploma and relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of surveying equipment and techniques, including Topcon GPS, Trimble GPS, Base Stations, machine controls, and lasers.
• Experience with Topcon products is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design layouts.
• Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.
• Competence in Bluebeam, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid Driver’s License with an impeccable driving record.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
• Familiarity with Propeller and Magnet software is a plus.
• Previous experience in a surveying role supporting renewable energy projects is favorable.
• Surveyor License is desirable.
• Drone License is advantageous.
