Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment related to new Data Center Cooling projects.

• Analyze work orders, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and other pertinent materials to identify tasks, tools, equipment, and parts required for installation or repair.

• Manage complex jobs to minimize impact on customers’ facilities and experiences while reducing the company's financial liabilities.

• Collaborate with building owners, general and mechanical contractors, engineers, and local service providers.

• Consult with engineering and manufacturing teams to address unusual operational and maintenance issues.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients while upholding a professional appearance and demeanor.

• Provide management with insights regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

• Three to five years of experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; HVAC servicing or similar electromechanical experience is preferred.

• Willingness to travel approximately 85% of the time to various job sites for commissioning and warranty work.

• Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.

• Commitment to seeing projects through to root cause analysis.

• Excellent customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed expectations for both internal and external clients.

• Ability to work independently in a timely manner, ensuring accurate job completion with external technicians and following up on parts delivery.

• Trade or technical school education or certification is a plus.

• Experience with industrial HVAC equipment or similar electromechanical products is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Intermediate experience with commercial projects.

• Experience in building automation is a plus.
