Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Travel to client locations across the continental United States, primarily focusing on the Central region, with coverage of East and West Coasts as necessary.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment.

• Repair equipment following diagnosis.

• Interpret diagrams and schematics to perform complete board replacements when required.

• Conduct machine testing post-repair to verify correct functionality.

• Maintain and finalize repair documentation paperwork.

• Provide Level 2 technical support via phone to customers and internal staff.

• Adhere to company safety and health policies.

• Execute low-voltage electrical repairs using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other hand tools.

• Schedule appointments for preventive maintenance, service calls, and installations.

• Collaborate with the Client Relations team to resolve customer inquiries.

• Perform device calibration utilizing specified testing equipment, such as power meters.

• Mentor and support fellow field service personnel.

• Develop troubleshooting documentation for the Client Relations team.

• Assist in mentoring colleagues and other departments as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Reside in or around Texas.

• Documentation proving eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory.

• Associate degree in electrical or electronic repair, or equivalent experience is required.

• A minimum of 4 years of Field Service experience is necessary.

• Experience with component-level repair is preferred.

• Knowledge of ISO 13485 certification is preferred.

• Proficiency in reading diagrams and schematics.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Applications (MS Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred.

• Outstanding organizational skills.

• Capability to multitask effectively.

• Ability to retain extensive amounts of information.

• Positive attitude and approach towards job responsibilities and the Alma team.

• Capability to meet physical demands, including frequently lifting or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds.

• Willingness to travel 75–90% as required.
