Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Travel to customer locations across the continental United States, mainly in the Central region, with occasional travel to the East and West Coasts as necessary.

• Perform repairs on Alma Lasers medical-aesthetic equipment.

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment.

• Repair equipment following diagnosis.

• Interpret diagrams and schematics to carry out full board swaps when required.

• Test machines post-repair to ensure proper functionality.

• Maintain and complete all necessary repair documentation.

• Provide Level 2 technical support via phone to customers and internal staff.

• Adhere to company safety and health policies.

• Conduct low-voltage electrical repairs using a multimeter, oscilloscope, and other hand tools.

• Schedule appointments for preventative maintenance, service calls, and installations.

• Collaborate closely with the Client Relations team to address customer concerns.

• Perform device calibration using designated test equipment like power meters.

• Mentor and assist other field service personnel.

• Create troubleshooting documents for the Client Relations team.

• Support in mentoring colleagues and other departments as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree in electrical or electronic repair, or equivalent experience.

• Over 4 years of Field Service experience.

• Preferred experience with component-level repair.

• Familiarity with ISO 13485 certification is preferred.

• Competence in reading diagrams and schematics.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (MS Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Capability to multitask.

• Positive attitude and approach towards job responsibilities and the Alma team.

• Ability to retain substantial amounts of information.

• Documentation verifying eligibility to work in the United States will be required.

• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

• Willingness to travel 75-90% as needed.

• Ability to occasionally sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
