Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Travel to customer locations across the continental United States, primarily focusing on the Central US, with additional coverage for the East and West Coasts as required.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty medical instruments or equipment.

• Repair equipment following a thorough diagnosis.

• Interpret diagrams and schematics for complete board replacements as necessary.

• Conduct tests on machines post-repair to verify proper functionality.

• Maintain and finalize repair documentation records.

• Provide Level 2 technical support via phone to both customers and internal staff.

• Adhere to company safety and health regulations.

• Execute low-voltage electrical repairs using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and various hand tools.

• Schedule appointments for preventive maintenance, service calls, and installations.

• Work in conjunction with the Client Relations team to address and resolve customer concerns.

• Carry out device calibration utilizing designated test equipment such as power meters.

• Mentor and support other field service personnel.

• Create troubleshooting documentation for the Client Relations team.

• Assist in mentoring colleagues and other departments as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree in electrical or electronic repair, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 4 years of Field Service experience.

• Preferred experience in component-level repair.

• Familiarity with ISO 13485 certification is preferred.

• Proficient in reading diagrams and schematics.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Applications (MS Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred.

• Exceptional organizational skills.

• Capable of multitasking.

• A positive attitude and approach towards job responsibilities and the Alma team.

• Ability to work in or near Texas.

• Documentation proving eligibility to work in the United States will be required.

• Willingness to travel 75–90% as needed.

• Capability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.

• Ability to perform occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
