Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Travel to customer locations across the continental United States, primarily focusing on the East Coast, with coverage in the Central U.S. as necessary.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues with malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment.

• Repair equipment following a thorough diagnosis.

• Interpret diagrams and schematics to execute full board swaps as required.

• Conduct tests on machines post-repair to verify proper functionality.

• Maintain and complete all necessary repair documentation.

• Provide Level 2 technical support via phone to customers and internal staff.

• Adhere to company safety and health regulations.

• Execute low-voltage electrical repairs utilizing multimeters, oscilloscopes, and various hand tools.

• Schedule appointments for preventive maintenance, service calls, and installations.

• Collaborate closely with the Client Relations team to resolve customer concerns.

• Carry out device calibration using designated test equipment such as power meters.

• Mentor and support fellow field service personnel.

• Create troubleshooting documentation for the Client Relations team.

• Travel is required 75–90% of the time as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside in or around New York or New Jersey.

• An Associate's degree in electrical or electronic repair, or equivalent experience is required.

• A minimum of 4 years of Field Service experience is necessary.

• Experience with component-level repair is preferred.

• Familiarity with ISO 13485 certification is preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and schematics is essential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including MS Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills are a must.

• Capability to multitask effectively.

• A positive attitude and approach towards job responsibilities and teamwork.

• Documentation proving eligibility to work in the United States is required.

• Must be able to occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities are required, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
