Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Travel to client locations across the continental United States, primarily focusing on the East Coast.

• Conduct repairs on Alma Lasers equipment.

• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.

• Provide Level 2 technical support to customers via phone.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues with malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment.

• Perform repairs on equipment following diagnosis.

• Interpret diagrams and schematics to execute complete board swaps as required.

• Test equipment post-repair to confirm proper functionality.

• Maintain and finalize repair documentation paperwork.

• Offer Level 2 support through phone communication with customers and internal staff.

• Adhere to company safety and health regulations.

• Execute low-voltage electrical repairs utilizing multimeters, oscilloscopes, and various hand tools.

• Schedule appointments for preventive maintenance, service calls, and installations.

• Collaborate closely with the Client Relations team to address customer concerns.

• Conduct device calibrations using designated testing equipment such as power meters.

• Mentor and support other field service personnel.

• Create troubleshooting documents for the Client Relations team.

• Assist in mentoring colleagues and other teams as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate's degree in electrical or electronic repair, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 4 years of Field Service experience.

• Preferred experience in component-level repair.

• Familiarity with ISO 13485 certification is preferred.

• Proficient in reading diagrams and schematics.

• Competence in Microsoft Applications (MS Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• A positive attitude and approach to job responsibilities and teamwork within Alma.

• Documentation proving eligibility to work in the United States will be required.

• Capability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

• Willingness and ability to travel 75–90% as needed.

• Ability to occasionally sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
