Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Travel to customer locations across the continental United States, primarily focusing on the East Coast.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment.

• Repair equipment following diagnosis.

• Read diagrams and schematics to perform complete board replacements as necessary.

• Test machines post-repair to ensure they function correctly.

• Maintain and complete all necessary repair documentation.

• Provide Level 2 technical support via phone to both customers and internal staff.

• Adhere to company safety and health policies.

• Execute low-voltage electrical repairs using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and various hand tools.

• Schedule appointments for preventive maintenance, service calls, and installations.

• Collaborate closely with the Client Relations team to address and resolve customer issues.

• Conduct device calibration using specified test equipment such as power meters.

• Mentor and support other field service personnel.

• Create troubleshooting documents for the Client Relations team.

• Assist in mentoring peers and other departments as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree in electrical or electronic repair, or equivalent experience.

• 4+ years of Field Service experience.

• Experience with component-level repair is preferred.

• Familiarity with ISO 13485 certification is preferred.

• Ability to read diagrams and schematics.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (MS Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to multitask effectively.

• A positive attitude and approach towards job responsibilities and the Alma team.

• Documentation proving eligibility to work in the United States will be required.

• Ability to occasionally sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

• Willingness to travel 75–90% as needed.
