Field Service Technician, HVAC - Data Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Initiate, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and service Munters Data Center equipment.

• Travel to customer locations across the U.S., with up to 90% travel by air and vehicle.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control issues.

• Execute warranty and billable service tasks.

• Deliver customer training and technical assistance.

• Record service activities and produce comprehensive field reports.

• Collaborate closely with customers, Sales Project Managers, Service Managers, and Technical Support teams.

• Engage in on-call rotations and occasional weekend or holiday work as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of HVAC/mechanical experience, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.

• Extensive refrigeration troubleshooting expertise, including pressure testing, evacuation, and charging.

• Universal Refrigeration Certification/Card is mandatory.

• Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting.

• Proficient in troubleshooting controls, PLCs, and control systems.

• Capable of reading and interpreting electrical information to diagnose system problems.

• Experience with brazing and soldering techniques.

• Familiarity with Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and other relevant safety practices.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Self-driven and comfortable working autonomously.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Willingness to travel frequently and spend several days away from home.

• Ability to work outdoors, at heights of 6 feet or higher, and in various job site conditions.

• Physical capability to climb, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and occasionally handle up to 75 pounds.

• State Master HVAC license is advantageous.

• Must be able to pass necessary pre-employment drug screenings and background checks.
