This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Travel to client locations to initiate, commission, safely troubleshoot, and repair Data Center equipment.
• Operate independently while overseeing projects on-site during startup and commissioning phases.
• Coordinate activities with other trades and services present on-site.
• Conduct factory startup, commissioning, warranty, and billable services for Munters Data Center equipment and systems.
• Safeguard and maintain Munters equipment and property.
• Respond swiftly to service requests from customers and management.
• Deliver customer training on Munters equipment.
• Provide technical insights on equipment through comprehensive field service reports.
• Ensure immediate response to customer requirements, including urgent requests, as part of the Field Service team.
• Over 5 years of experience with extensive knowledge in the Mechanical field, particularly in HVAC.
• Frequent travel is necessary, up to 90%, throughout the USA by plane and car.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, with the ability to proficiently diagnose electrical issues and document findings.
• Familiarity with all safety protocols and training in Arc flash, lock out/tag out, and other safety mandates.
• Understanding of and capability to utilize all personal protective equipment associated with electrical safety.
• Extensive knowledge in refrigeration; skilled in pressure testing, evacuating, and charging systems without assistance.
• Competent in fully troubleshooting and diagnosing refrigeration issues.
• Proficient in brazing and soldering techniques.
• Possesses a universal refrigeration certification.
• Comprehensive understanding of Controls, with experience in troubleshooting, programming, or downloading to control systems.
• Knowledgeable about PLCs and adept at working with various platforms.
• Capable of accessing PLC information, adjusting PLCs, and connecting to PLCs via computer for communication and modifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Self-driven, with the capacity to work autonomously.
• Ability to effectively communicate with site personnel, Sales PM, Service Manager, and Technical Support teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; trade school education is preferred.
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently/constantly.
• Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, and lift as necessary.
• Close visual acuity for data preparation and analysis, viewing computer screens, and extensive reading.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety boots, hard hats, and hearing protection.
• Willingness to travel and be away from home for several days.
• Open to on-call duties as needed.
• Willingness to occasionally work on weekends and/or holidays.
• Prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability and willingness to work at heights of 6 feet or more as required.
