Field Service Technician, HVAC – Data Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Initiate, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Munters Data Center equipment

• Travel to client locations across the U.S., with up to 90% travel by plane and vehicle

• Address mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control-related issues

• Execute warranty and billable service tasks

• Offer training and technical support to customers

• Record service actions and provide comprehensive field reports

• Collaborate closely with customers, Sales Project Managers, Service Managers, and Technical Support

• Engage in on-call rotations and occasional weekend/holiday work as necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of HVAC/mechanical experience, ideally in commercial or industrial settings

• Proficient in refrigeration troubleshooting, including pressure testing, evacuation, and charging

• Universal Refrigeration Certification/Card is required

• Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting

• Experience in diagnosing controls, PLCs, and control systems

• Ability to interpret electrical information and diagnose system problems

• Familiarity with brazing and soldering techniques

• Knowledge of Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and other relevant safety protocols

• Excellent communication and customer service capabilities

• Self-driven and capable of working independently

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school experience is preferred

• State Master HVAC license is advantageous

• Willingness to travel frequently and be away from home for extended periods

• Ability to work outdoors, at heights of 6 feet or more, and in diverse jobsite conditions

• Capacity to climb, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and occasionally manage up to 75 pounds

• Successful completion of relevant pre-employment drug screening and background checks
