Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Execute on-site assembly, installation, maintenance, rehabilitation, and repair of passenger boarding bridges and associated Oshkosh AeroTech equipment.

• Collaborate directly with Customers, Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to facilitate equipment installation and service operations.

• Diagnose and address mechanical, electrical, and control system challenges during installation or service.

• Conduct thorough equipment inspections and audits, document results, and generate inspection reports for clients.

• Provide operator, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and hands-on technical training for clients across various product lines.

• Determine necessary parts, tools, and materials for installations, repairs, or training sessions.

• Offer on-site technical guidance and direction to subcontractors or customer staff.

• Evaluate assembled, installed, or repaired equipment for adherence to company quality standards, specifications, and drawings.

• Relay technical findings, corrective measures, and follow-up suggestions to clients.

• Suggest product or process enhancements based on field experience.

• Participate in on-site meetings as a technical representative to discuss installation progress, technical issues, and scope-related matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant hands-on experience in equipment installation, maintenance, repair, or field service.

• Willingness to travel 70–80% to customer locations.

• Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting engineering drawings, electrical schematics, construction standards, and technical procedures in English.

• Ability to compose clear technical reports and communicate effectively with customers and contractors.

• Previous experience with Syteline is preferred.

• Frequent standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing required.

• Regular lifting of up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical components.

• Occasional exposure to heights, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, and moderate to high noise levels.

• Some positions may necessitate applicants to be U.S. Persons under ITAR or EAR regulations.
