Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Travel to client locations to lead, manage, and execute hands-on disassembly, repair, and assembly of mechanical and/or forging presses

• Ensure that all work is conducted safely and that required personal protective equipment (PPE) is utilized

• Oversee, manage, and guide both client and Enprotech personnel during maintenance and press repair tasks

• Serve as the liaison for customer site operations and planning on a daily basis

• Assemble, repair, and refurbish manufacturing equipment in accordance with procedures and customer specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and written procedures

• Disassemble and reassemble metal forming presses, involving rigging, fitting, scraping, grinding, and adjustments

• Install lubrication blocks, lines, and general plumbing, including both pneumatic and hydraulic systems

• Troubleshoot issues with hydraulic lubrication systems

• Align machines and equipment utilizing hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs

• Prepare and utilize hand tools such as ratchets, impacts, torque multipliers, hydraulic torque wrenches, magnetic drills, and hydraulic jacks

• Ensure parts are properly prepared, deburred, and free of defects prior to assembly

• Conduct quality inspections using process inspection tools and devices

• Operate small lathes and mills to polish small parts and create keys

• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other rigging equipment

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory

• Capability to troubleshoot machinery for problem diagnosis

• Understanding of basic electrical codes, including wiring, electrical components, switches, high voltage, and control centers

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, plans, and operating manuals

• Proficient in fitting fluid lines and pipes

• Skilled in assembling and disassembling parts and systems

• Ability to resolve production operation-related issues

• Strong verbal communication skills with team members, supervisors, and engineers

• Capability to work in confined spaces

• Comfortable working with solvents, oils, and grease

• Willingness to travel up to 100%
