Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Travel to customer locations to lead, manage, and carry out hands-on disassembly, repair, and assembly of mechanical and/or forging presses.

• Ensure that work is conducted safely and that necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) is utilized.

• Oversee, manage, and direct both customer and Enprotech personnel during maintenance and press repair tasks.

• Serve as the liaison at the customer site for daily operations and planning.

• Assemble, repair, and rebuild manufacturing equipment in alignment with procedures and customer specifications.

• Interpret and adhere to blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and written protocols.

• Disassemble and reassemble metal-forming presses, including tasks such as rigging, fitting, scraping, grinding, and adjustments.

• Install lubrication blocks, lines, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general plumbing systems.

• Diagnose issues in hydraulic lubrication systems.

• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.

• Prepare and utilize hand tools, hydraulic torque wrenches, magnetic drills, and hydraulic jacks.

• Confirm that parts are properly prepared, deburred, and free of defects before assembly.

• Conduct quality inspections using various tools and devices.

• Operate small lathes and milling machines.

• Manage cranes, forklifts, and other rigging equipment.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Proficient in troubleshooting machines to identify issues.

• Familiarity with basic electrical codes, pulling wire, electrical components, switches, high voltage, and control centers.

• Capability to read and interpret schematics, plans, and operating manuals.

• Ability to fit fluid lines and pipes effectively.

• Skill in assembling and disassembling parts and systems.

• Competence in resolving problems related to production operations.

• Effective verbal communication skills with team members, supervisors, and engineers.

• Must be capable of working in confined spaces.

• Must be able to handle solvents, oils, and grease.

• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
