Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of Boon Edam products.

• Offer product service and support through telephone communication and on-site visits within the designated branch area.

• Collaborate with general contractors, subcontractors, and end-users to install Boon Edam products in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.

• Operate remotely alongside the Customer Support team at Boon Edam.

• Provide training to junior installation and service technicians.

• Document and monitor installation and support materials for project record keeping.

• Receive assignments and work autonomously from the factory.

• Travel from Monday to Friday, returning home on weekends.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years’ experience in Electrical/Electronic Theory, Plant Maintenance, or a related field.

• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.

• Capable of acquiring a U.S. passport for international travel.

• Willingness to travel 100% of the time.

• Proficient in electrical skills, including low voltage electronics and high voltage electrical theory.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

• Competence in electrical circuit troubleshooting.

• Strong mechanical installation skills (layout, assembly, connections, etc.).

• Excellent proficiency in reading and understanding mechanical and construction drawings.

• Experienced in using hand tools such as cordless drills, hammers, levels, etc.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including telephone etiquette.

• Detail-oriented approach to tasks.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of PCs and Internet Explorer.

• Customer-focused mindset.

• Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

• Must successfully pass frequent OSHA, background, and drug screenings.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is beneficial but not mandatory.
