This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Install, assemble, service, and repair Aerzen products at both company and customer locations.
• Conduct startups, inspections of equipment, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on Aerzen products.
• Represent Aerzen in a professional manner while adhering to both company and customer safety standards.
• Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain pneumatic, analog, and digital control, measurement, and indicating instrumentation.
• Install and terminate connections for electrical, pneumatic, and fluid systems.
• Comprehend control narratives and troubleshoot process-application challenges.
• Analyze and resolve TCP/IP network and RS-485 communication issues.
• Disassemble machinery, assess damage, evaluate failures, diagnose problems, and identify root causes.
• Provide machine-based recommendations and utilize defined procedures and standard rebuild kits.
• Interpret and utilize equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and process documentation.
• Communicate job requirements, recommendations, service options, concerns, and status updates to customers effectively.
• Assess customers' future needs and relay information through appropriate channels.
• Support engineering efforts with plant design, modifications, and hazard analysis.
• Plan and schedule travel using the Concur booking tool.
• Complete service reports, expense reports, forms, commissioning graphs, and written repair reports.
• Gather data using company software.
• Conduct onsite customer training on Aerzen products.
• Execute work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures, while ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
• Engage in inventory counts, shop organization, cleanup, and other assigned departmental responsibilities.
• Associate Degree (2 years of schooling) in electronics technology or equivalent experience.
• More than 4 years of Field Service and Repair experience with rotating equipment.
• Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC preferred.
• Strong planning, prioritization, organization, and execution skills.
• High attention to detail and capability to analyze substantial amounts of data.
• Demonstrated analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management abilities.
• RS Logix 5000 experience preferred.
• Desired experience in PLC or similar Ladder-Logic programming.
• Ability to interpret process flow, control wiring, piping, and instrumentation diagrams.
• Welding skills (brazing, cutting, welding, plasma) are a plus.
• Strong focus on customer service.
• Exceptional leadership and change-management capabilities.
• Ability to listen, motivate, and influence others towards action.
• High integrity and compliance mindset.
• Willingness to travel over 50% of the time.
• Monday-Friday schedule with weekends spent at home.
• Must pass a background check.
