This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Collaborate on-site with clients to pinpoint opportunities for operational enhancements and address pain points.
• Carry out field service duties, which include diagnosing technical issues and executing certified on-site troubleshooting.
• Compile material lists for service tasks, ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment adhere to quality standards and are readily available.
• Implement installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements.
• Foster and sustain positive customer relationships to boost satisfaction.
• Spot potential new sales opportunities while fulfilling customer requirements and relay them internally.
• Actively identify possible equipment failures and propose corrective measures.
• Recommend and suggest enhancements in product and quality.
• Provide management with suggestions for optimizing operations and customer service.
• Adhere to safety protocols and uphold safe work and environmental practices.
• Promptly report unsafe practices and incidents.
• Report directly to the Service Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with over 1 year of experience servicing critical power equipment, OR an Associate’s Degree in electrical technology with more than 3 years of experience servicing critical power equipment, OR a High School Diploma/GED and equivalent work and/or military experience (5+ years) in servicing critical power equipment.
• Advanced ability to interact and convey (both written and verbal) information to various levels within the organization.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office products at an advanced level.
• Moderate proficiency in Project Management utilizing MS Project or Excel.
• Advanced capability in drafting test plans and reports that detail test findings.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in administrative tasks.
• Demonstrates effective collaboration with colleagues.
• Exhibits a sense of urgency and ownership; committed to completing the job!
• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
