This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electro-mechanical medical devices.
• Identify equipment failures, determine root causes, and enact corrective measures.
• Oversee the service area by scheduling service appointments, preventive maintenance, and travel arrangements.
• Keep service documentation, maintenance logs, inventory transactions, and calibrated testing equipment organized.
• Plan and procure parts while ensuring effective inventory management.
• Educate and assist customer personnel on the operation, maintenance, and inspection of equipment.
• Provide customers with updates on service status, estimated arrival times, and resolution of issues.
• Represent Vantive in a professional manner to customers and team members.
• Mentor and assist service technicians while contributing to meetings, training sessions, troubleshooting manuals, and best practices.
• Suggest service enhancements and keep leadership updated on operational requirements and challenges.
• Engage in installation projects, field actions, and designated initiatives; lead projects as required.
• Handle sensitive components carefully and adhere to hospital, environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
• Travel to clinical and stakeholder locations for technical assistance, training, and meetings.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Background in biomedical engineering, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical devices.
• Capacity to diagnose problems, perform mechanical adjustments, and independently solve complex equipment issues.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a designated service area.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and a professional, courteous demeanor.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).
• Capability to operate in healthcare settings while following PPE protocols.
• Physical ability to stand, kneel, bend, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs, with occasional heavier lifting using proper aids.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% of the time, including overnight stays; readiness to drive long distances or fly.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• An Associate’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline; OR an Associate’s degree or higher in an unrelated field with over 3 years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience; OR BMET certification with over 3 years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience; OR completion of a U.S. military electrical or biomedical equipment technology program.
• Prior field service experience is strongly preferred.
