Field Service Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Install, commission, service, maintain, and troubleshoot DTE metal production analytical devices and solutions at client locations.

• Receive and unpack equipment at customer sites.

• Configure equipment to fulfill operational requirements.

• Train customer operators on the use of DTE solutions.

• Provide both remote and on-site technical support.

• Act as a primary point of contact during installation and maintenance tasks.

• Ensure that installation and service work adheres to quality, safety, and scheduling standards.

• Verify customer site readiness, including power, utilities, access, lifting, and safety approvals.

• Participate in the on-call rotation for remote and on-site support, responding within agreed service commitments.

• Provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams to foster continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.

• Must reside within a convenient driving distance of a major airport.

• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% within the United States.

• Must already possess authorization to work in the United States.

• A valid driver’s license and passport are required.

• B.Sc. in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in assembly, field service, or technical support positions related to electronic or industrial equipment.

• Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques for automated control systems and logic.

• Strong analytical abilities paired with a practical problem-solving mindset.

• Capability to work hands-on with prototypes, conducting testing, troubleshooting, and product enhancement.

• A strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and quality.

• Ability to fulfill customer site access requirements, including safety training, medical or drug screening, and background checks.

• Comfortable working in hot, noisy casthouse environments while wearing personal protective equipment and handling equipment components.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Experience in metals, foundry, or other heavy industrial settings is a plus.

• Electrical training, certification, or licensure is an advantage.

• Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
