Field Service Engineer – Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Install, initiate, and commission equipment at client locations.

• Troubleshoot and program PLCs as well as automation controls.

• Diagnose issues related to electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and control systems.

• Conduct equipment upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.

• Provide training for customer operators and maintenance staff.

• Document service activities, programming modifications, and installation reports.

• Interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and technical drawings.

• Uphold a safe and professional working environment.

• Travel approximately 75–80% across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with the possibility of international travel.

• Primarily work at customer manufacturing sites within industrial settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• For Field Service Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Controls Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.

• For Field Service Technician: Associate degree or technical certificate in a relevant field; OR a high school diploma/GED accompanied by 7+ years of pertinent industrial experience.

• Preferred experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic.

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD/SolidWorks is advantageous.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays and extended periods away from home.

• Capability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and work in proximity to machinery.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and more with assistance.

• Maintain visual and mental focus for troubleshooting and service tasks.

• Weekend, holiday, and extended-hour work may be necessary.
