Field Service Engineer – Energy & Recovery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Execute process and field services for Pulp & Energy Solutions equipment and products within pulp and paper mills, particularly in the Energy and Recovery sector.

• Carry out start-ups and commissioning services.

• Conduct inspections and condition assessments.

• Assist with maintenance and service agreements.

• Perform process and emissions tune-ups.

• Diagnose equipment issues and provide emergency support.

• Plan and implement outages.

• Offer advice on construction related to rebuilds, upgrades, and capital projects.

• Conduct root cause analyses.

• Develop operations and maintenance procedures and carry out data monitoring and reporting as instructed.

• Prepare and submit comprehensive service reports.

• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers, Product Engineers, and Sales personnel.

• Build relationships with key customers and conduct service sales visits.

• Provide hands-on supervision for equipment maintenance, repair, rebuild, troubleshooting, and installation at customer locations.

• Identify issues and deliver technical solutions during both scheduled and emergency service shutdowns in partnership with engineering and sales teams.

• Work autonomously while facilitating and resolving challenges on customer projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.

• A minimum of five years of relevant hands-on mechanical experience.

• Preferred working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, rigging, pipefitting, millwrighting, and machining.

• Capability to interpret blueprints and diagrams.

• Proficient in overseeing projects and managing all facets of leading a subcontractor crew.

• Willingness to travel by air or automobile for up to 200 days per year.

• Predominantly domestic travel, with occasional international trips.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• A background in hydraulics and pneumatics is advantageous.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Strong computer skills.

• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

• Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

• Readiness to travel and lead customer-site projects.
