
Field Service Engineer β Energy & Recovery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire, +1 more state.
β’ Execute process and field services for Pulp & Energy Solutions equipment and products within pulp and paper mills, particularly in the Energy and Recovery sector.
β’ Carry out start-ups and commissioning services.
β’ Conduct inspections and condition assessments.
β’ Assist with maintenance and service agreements.
β’ Perform process and emissions tune-ups.
β’ Diagnose equipment issues and provide emergency support.
β’ Plan and implement outages.
β’ Offer advice on construction related to rebuilds, upgrades, and capital projects.
β’ Conduct root cause analyses.
β’ Develop operations and maintenance procedures and carry out data monitoring and reporting as instructed.
β’ Prepare and submit comprehensive service reports.
β’ Collaborate with Field Service Engineers, Product Engineers, and Sales personnel.
β’ Build relationships with key customers and conduct service sales visits.
β’ Provide hands-on supervision for equipment maintenance, repair, rebuild, troubleshooting, and installation at customer locations.
β’ Identify issues and deliver technical solutions during both scheduled and emergency service shutdowns in partnership with engineering and sales teams.
β’ Work autonomously while facilitating and resolving challenges on customer projects.
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
β’ A minimum of five years of relevant hands-on mechanical experience.
β’ Preferred working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, rigging, pipefitting, millwrighting, and machining.
β’ Capability to interpret blueprints and diagrams.
β’ Proficient in overseeing projects and managing all facets of leading a subcontractor crew.
β’ Willingness to travel by air or automobile for up to 200 days per year.
β’ Predominantly domestic travel, with occasional international trips.
β’ Strong mechanical aptitude.
β’ A background in hydraulics and pneumatics is advantageous.
β’ Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
β’ Strong computer skills.
β’ Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
β’ Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
β’ Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
β’ Readiness to travel and lead customer-site projects.
