Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct preventive and routine maintenance on analytical and metallographic instruments.

• Execute repairs, troubleshooting, and corrective measures for breakdown situations.

• Carry out the installation of new instrumentation.

• Implement updates and upgrade kits as necessary.

• Educate customers on the principles, operation, software, and effective maintenance practices.

• Keep precise inventory records, expense documentation, and vehicle logs.

• Foster and sustain customer relationships while serving as a customer-facing team member.

• Assist with service operations at customer sites across the Western Region.

• Travel to client locations for up to four overnight stays or five days per week based on workload demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Self-driven with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Compliance with customer site protocols and safety regulations.

• Detail-oriented and equipped with strong organizational capabilities.

• Attend instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for a duration of 3–5 months.

• Complete field service training alongside experienced engineers across the country.

• Participate in annual service training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan.

• Willingness to travel daily, accommodating up to four overnight hotel stays per week from Monday to Friday.

• Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.

• Successfully pass background checks and substance abuse screenings.

• Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Prior experience with AC and DC electronics, or the capability to learn.

• One or more of the following: Two-Year Technical Degree, Trade School, previous military experience with technical training, or relevant work experience/training in a technical field.

• A background in chemistry or military service is a plus but not mandatory.
