Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Operate within the Connecticut and Western Massachusetts service region, primarily focusing on CT and Nuclear Medicine modalities.

• Conduct precise and timely preventative maintenance, Field Modification Instructions, and corrective repairs.

• Independently troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on assigned equipment.

• Support seasoned field engineers with equipment installations and service repairs.

• Communicate effectively with customers and team members to address issues and ensure proper follow-up.

• Suggest value-added services while fostering strong partnerships with customers.

• Complete customer service reports, order repair parts, submit expenses, and manage cycle times efficiently.

• Utilize the GEHC escalation process and collaborate with regional and national support to develop corrective action plans.

• Participate as a member of the account community for key accounts.

• Engage with commercial counterparts to identify sales leads, assist in contract renewals, and support revenue initiatives.

• Keep track of competitor information and market trends.

• Independently handle service calls without assistance within one year of employment.

• Adhere to GEHC quality, EHS, compliance, and relevant regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; OR equivalent military education to an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; OR completion of the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship, Apprenticeship, or Military Externship program; OR a High School Diploma/GED along with a minimum of 2 years of experience servicing electronic or electro-mechanical equipment.

• Proficiency with web applications and Microsoft Suite products.

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

• Willingness to travel for training purposes.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted.

• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.

• Proficiency in reaching at, above, and below shoulder level; flexing/extending neck; and demonstrating good hand and finger dexterity.

• Required vision abilities may include color perception, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
