This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.
• Execute field service tasks related to the installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of high voltage equipment up to 800kV.
• Assist in commissioning, maintenance, overhaul, upgrade, and retrofit projects at client locations.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment problems and aid in corrective actions.
• Perform testing activities and document outcomes following established procedures.
• Gather and evaluate equipment and testing data to facilitate issue resolution.
• Coordinate work efforts with internal teams and customer representatives.
• Recognize opportunities for enhancing operations and customer service.
• Support field service projects and manage field test equipment.
• Ensure adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
• Must possess work authorization allowing employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Preferably have trade education in Industrial Mechanic or Electrical trades, or a college/university degree in a technical discipline such as electrical or mechanical engineering; equivalent technical training and experience will be considered.
• 1 to 3 years of preferred experience in technical field service, construction, power equipment, or related technical environments.
• Experience in supporting the installation, maintenance, testing, or repair of electrical or mechanical equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Familiarity with substation equipment, high voltage equipment, or electrical testing methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and testing equipment software.
• Valid U.S. driver's license is required.
• Willingness to travel extensively, up to 80% of the time.
• Ability to adhere to relevant regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
