Field Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage on-site technical challenges during global operations.

• Coordinate the deployment, installation, calibration, operation, and disassembly of weather systems.

• Maintain technical readiness and system uptime before, during, and after events.

• Assist with field logistics, including equipment transportation, setup coordination, and troubleshooting on-site.

• Act as the primary on-site contact during field activities.

• Collaborate across engineering, product, and meteorology teams to establish configurations and integrations.

• Resolve customer project issues effectively.

• Facilitate customer discussions and clarify system functionalities.

• Document solution designs accurately.

• Ensure that deployed systems align with technical, operational, and customer specifications.

• Represent Tomorrow.io in the field with professionalism, precision, and technical expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Enterprise SaaS, B2B, customer-facing role.

• Practical experience with weather systems, including weather stations, radars, or environmental monitoring devices.

• Possession of a valid international driver’s license (or the capability to obtain one).

• Willingness and ability to travel internationally frequently throughout the year (approximately 60%).

• Strong preference for candidates with reliable access to a major international airport.

• Hands-on, pragmatic approach, capable of resolving complex problems in dynamic environments.

• Proficient in designing solutions that involve hardware, software, and data flows.

• Strong troubleshooting and decision-making abilities in fast-paced settings.

• Proven skills in teamwork and coordination while working with a small field team.

• Excellent communication and technical presentation skills for customer interactions.

• Independent, proactive, and resourceful individual.

• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment, including items exceeding 40 lbs.

• Capability to assemble and disassemble weather stations and associated hardware.

• Comfortable operating in outdoor environments, including heights and varying weather conditions.
