This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.
β’ Oversee and direct intricate field evaluation projects from their inception to the final reporting and approval stages.
β’ Define project scope, evaluation methodologies, testing requirements, and documentation necessities.
β’ Execute on-site evaluations of electrical apparatus, industrial machinery, control systems, and specialized products.
β’ Analyze and implement electrical codes, installation requirements, and product safety standards.
β’ Create evaluation plans, testing procedures, and acceptance criteria for products that fall outside existing standards.
β’ Conduct and supervise electrical testing, measurements, inspections, and hazard assessments.
β’ Evaluate technical data and engineering documents to assess product compliance and necessary corrective actions.
β’ Act as the primary technical liaison for clients.
β’ Convey compliance requirements, technical insights, and recommendations.
β’ Collaborate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction, inspectors, regulatory officials, and various stakeholders.
β’ Offer technical consultation regarding product safety, field labeling, equipment modifications, and code compliance.
β’ Address client inquiries and resolve intricate technical challenges.
β’ Provide expertise in electrical safety, field evaluations, and regulatory compliance.
β’ Enhance field evaluation procedures, testing methodologies, and engineering tools.
β’ Mentor junior engineers and offer technical advice.
β’ Participate in industry committees, technical presentations, training programs, and activities related to standards development.
β’ Advocate for safety, quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
β’ At least 3-8 years of experience in field evaluations, product safety engineering, electrical inspections, certification, compliance engineering, or a related technical area.
β’ In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
β’ Comprehensive understanding of NFPA standards.
β’ Proficient in building and electrical codes.
β’ Strong expertise in electrical product safety standards.
β’ Thorough knowledge of regulatory and conformity assessment processes.
β’ Capability to independently manage complex technical projects and customer relationships.
β’ Extensive experience in conducting electrical testing and using industry-standard testing equipment.
β’ Solid understanding of hazard-based safety engineering principles and risk assessment methodologies.
β’ Exceptional technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Strong communication and presentation skills.
β’ Proficient in engineering software, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
β’ Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
β’ Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including occasional international trips.
β’ Valid driver's license and readiness to travel to client locations on short notice.
β’ Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license.
β’ Preferred: Certified Electrical Inspector or related industry certifications.
β’ Preferred: Experience evaluating industrial machinery, control panels, power distribution equipment, automation systems, or hazardous location equipment.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with international standards and global compliance requirements.
β’ Preferred: Experience acting as a technical lead, reviewer, mentor, or engineering authority.
