Field Engineering Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Deliver on-site technical support for the installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of medical and healthcare equipment for customers.

• Assist field engineers in Cuiabá, MT, during their operations.

• Evaluate equipment problems and carry out necessary repairs.

• Validate and certify the operational quality of equipment and systems.

• Diligently document repair activities, work orders, service reports, time and expenses, preventive maintenance tasks, purchase orders, and additional responsibilities.

• Adhere to GE policies and procedures, hospital protocols, customer guidelines, integrity and compliance regulations, and EHS policies.

• Engage with customers to address issues and provide follow-up support.

• Cultivate customer relationships and act as a liaison between customers and GE Healthcare organizations.

• Collaborate with the local team to deliver effective service to designated accounts.

• Monitor and ensure 100% timely calibration of test equipment.

• Recognize and promptly report any customer quality or compliance issues.

• Assist during sales visits and relay sales opportunities to account teams.

• Contribute to company growth within the designated geographic region.

• Take part in customer training sessions and share best practices.

• Ensure customer satisfaction aligns with service, response time, performance, and quality standards.

• Properly utilize, conserve, maintain, and optimize company assets.


⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a technical degree, diploma, or qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Electromechanics, Mechanics, Electronics, Mechatronics, Information Technology, or Telecommunications from an accredited or recognized institution.

• Experience in the maintenance and installation of medical equipment.

• Background in customer relationship management and customer service.

• Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to effectively explain technical matters to customers.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet tools.

• Valid Brazilian driver’s license, Category B.

• Basic to intermediate English or technical English skills for reading manuals and participating in training sessions.

• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.

• Excellent planning and effective work organization abilities.

• Initiative, focus, interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt.

• Strong time-management and organizational skills.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and achieve results in uncertain environments.
