Field Engineer – Emergency Call Handling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute system configurations for designated Emergency Call Handling solutions, encompassing both hybrid cloud and SaaS applications.

• Conduct site verification testing prior to transitioning a site into the production environment.

• Set up and resolve connectivity issues between local site infrastructures and cloud-hosted application environments.

• Assist customers and channel partners during the deployment of the ECH solution into a live setting.

• Document modifications to solutions, including cloud tenant setups and API integrations throughout the implementation process.

• Ensure that installation and quality concerns are addressed swiftly and effectively.

• Engage in the creation and approval of Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations and system upgrades.

• Take part in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations as necessary.

• Maintain expertise in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.

• Report to the ECH Field Engineer Manager.

• Travel may exceed 75%.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School diploma, G.E.D., Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree is required.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is mandatory.

• Sponsorship for employer work permits is not available.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the deployment and integration of complex IP products and systems.

• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms and Deployment Models (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Private Cloud environments).

• Proficient in troubleshooting cloud-based applications, including connectivity, latency analysis, and identity management (SSO/Active Directory).

• CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications are required.

• Experience with installation, administration, and troubleshooting of Server Virtualization, particularly VMWare ESXi v.6+ and/or Microsoft Hyper-V 2012+.

• Experience with Database Servers, specifically Microsoft SQL Server versions 2008 R2, 2012, or 2016.

• Proficient in Server Operating Systems, particularly Windows Server versions 2008 R2 and 2012 R2.

• Familiarity with Workstation Operating Systems, specifically Windows 7 and 10.

• Experience with Linux.

• Knowledge of Network Switches, preferably Cisco IOS.

• Basic understanding of Firewalls and Routers, preferably Fortinet FortiGate.

• Experience with both server and workstation hardware.

• Previous involvement in Public Safety Applications deployment and integration, or operations and administration is preferred.

• Relevant cloud certifications are an advantage.

• Strong critical thinking abilities to solve problems and make informed decisions.
