Field CTO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Establish and nurture relationships with customer executives that lead to significant Net ARR deals and ensure customer success.

• Offer executive-level insights on strategic opportunities, encompassing new logo acquisition and growth initiatives.

• Gather and manage field feedback while partnering with the product team on roadmap development and issue prioritization.

• Expand and enhance regional-level expertise within the field through contributions to enablement and content creation.

• Act as an advocate for prospects and customers in DevSecOps transformation projects.

• Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in GitLab's targeted technology sectors through industry monitoring and active participation in external working groups, committees, and development projects.

• Stay informed about emerging methodologies and technologies relevant to GitLab and utilize that knowledge to influence solution and product strategies.

• Serve as a reliable advisor to GitLab prospects and customers throughout the presales process.

• Illustrate how the GitLab platform and GitLab Professional Services meet business requirements.

• Collaborate internally with the product team and engage existing customers through thought leadership, innovative solutions, outreach activities, meetups, and presentations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a CTO or Principal Solution Architect with a focus on the architecture of enterprise software development workflows.

• Proven experience in delivering information/cybersecurity and compliance-related solutions and assessments.

• Familiarity with software development tools, practices, and methodologies.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate and convey strategies across all organizational levels (from executives to staff engineers).

• Willingness and capability to learn and use GitLab as a core aspect of the role.

• Ability to travel and adhere to the company’s travel policy.
