This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Tailor program components to align with the requirements of designated prescribing physicians.
• Evaluate patient status and aid physicians in patient enrollment and payer documentation.
• Identify coverage challenges and relay these to the Program Manager.
• Establish relationships with physicians and their office staff while offering office assistance.
• Address concerns for assigned physicians.
• Educate physicians and clinics on programs and initiatives endorsed by manufacturers.
• Act as a liaison with physicians and provide insights to the Program Manager.
• Complete necessary reports including program, expense, timesheet, mileage, and others.
• Greet patients and gather essential information.
• Offer reimbursement guidance and manage public/private coverage activities.
• Monitor patient services to facilitate therapy access.
• Navigate financial assistance, pharmacy selection, drug delivery, and therapy coordination.
• Refer patients with clinical inquiries beyond program materials to appropriate healthcare providers.
• Report adverse and severe adverse events following standard operating procedures.
• Mentor and assist new Field Case Managers and support colleagues.
• Maintain connections with the Patient Support Program team.
• Engage in physician meetings and continuing medical education activities.
• Deliver in-service presentations to physicians alongside Pharmaceutical Representatives.
• Keep communication open with program stakeholders.
• Execute other assigned tasks and participate in standby/on-call coverage as necessary.
• A Bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field, or a nursing diploma.
• At least five years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, insurance, or a related sector.
• Current RN or RPN/LPN registration with the College of Nurses in the province of employment.
• Preferred case management experience.
• A minimum of three years of nursing experience in a clinical environment is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel within a specified territory; occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
• A valid driver's license, up-to-date auto insurance, and dependable transportation for regional travel.
• Experience in various therapeutic areas is beneficial.
• Familiarity with private and public reimbursement frameworks, systems, and procedures.
• Experience with reimbursement navigation, special authorization, appeals processes, and field-based reimbursement support and consultation.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret regulations and legislation.
• Bilingual fluency in French and English is a plus.
• Capability to interact daily with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients, or cross-functional peers.
