
Field Auto Appraiser – Catastrophic Loss

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Conduct inspections, identify issues, and assess vehicles involved in a loss.
• Evaluate and appraise repair costs for damaged vehicles in the field.
• Decide between repair or replacement, and assess parts usage.
• Determine the repairability or salvageability of vehicles using industry-standard estimating software.
• Travel to various inspection sites to evaluate vehicles in the field.
• Generate estimates utilizing estimating software.
• Collaborate directly with auto repair shops to process supplemental repairs and provide additional estimates.
• Execute other assigned tasks as needed.
• Travel as necessary.
• Potentially be deployed to support catastrophe operations, especially during peak summer months.
• During non-CAT periods, oversee daily appraisal workload within the designated home territory.
• Effectively manage workloads through time management, independence, and adherence to productivity and quality standards.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Licenses as mandated by state regulations.
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, including at least one (1) year in appraisal, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Strong understanding of automobiles.
• Capability to comprehend and utilize appraisal software.
• Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.

• Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended durations.
• Must be able to kneel, squat, bend, climb, crawl, stoop, and reach or work overhead.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, both hot and cold.
• Ability to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to drive for up to 4 hours each day.
• Continuous use of manual dexterity is required.
