This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical lead for power and analog solutions, facilitating system-level customer design engagements.

• Assist in pre- and post-design processes, which include schematic review, component selection, providing technical guidance, and resolving issues.

• Oversee the development of customer power architecture, encompassing power tree design, device selection, and system optimization.

• Conduct technical design reviews, perform root-cause analysis, and engage in hands-on debugging of analog and power-related issues.

• Propel new product evaluations and establish competitive positioning for Renesas power and analog products.

• Carry out lab work that involves board bring-up, measurement, validation, and failure analysis.

• Facilitate system-level integration across power, processor, and connectivity subsystems.

• Offer technical guidance to customers from the concept phase through to production.

• Relay field feedback to product divisions to shape roadmaps, prioritize features, and identify system solution gaps.

• Create and deliver customer training sessions, technical seminars, internal enablement materials, and design workshops.

• Build relationships with sales teams, FAEs, and distribution as the regional expert in power and analog solutions.

• Collaborate with product marketing and business unit teams to align field needs with product roadmaps.

• Participate in cross-functional engagements that involve MCU/MPU, AI, and connectivity platforms.

• Travel as necessary to support key customer engagements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in New England, with a preference for the Boston area.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in Analog and Power Electronics.

• Proficiency in buck/boost converters, PMICs, and LDOs.

• Knowledge of power tree sequencing and optimization.

• Experience in designing battery-powered systems, including fuel gauging, charging, and protection mechanisms.

• Understanding of analog signal chains, which includes amplifiers, data converters, sensors, filtering, noise, stability, and signal integrity.

• Experience with designing system-level power architecture.

• Background in schematic and PCB layout review, particularly in relation to power integrity and thermal considerations.

• Experience in bench characterization, validation, and debugging of power systems.

• Understanding of power interactions with MCUs/MPUs, DDR, high-speed interfaces, and connectivity subsystems.

• Hands-on expertise with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal analysis, and transient response measurements.

• Strong communication skills for customer-facing interactions.

• Self-motivated, highly collaborative, and capable of managing complex technical engagements.

• Willingness to travel as necessary, approximately 10–20% of the time.

• Must adhere to applicable U.S. export control regulations.
