Field Application Scientist – Flow Cytometry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in growing and maintaining the customer base within research and diagnostic flow cytometry applications.

• Achieve annual financial targets in the designated territory.

• Promote and showcase Beckman Coulter flow cytometry hardware, software, and consumables.

• Offer scientific and technical support for instruments, reagents, and integrated systems throughout the customer lifecycle.

• Oversee timely implementation, including on-site customer training and solution deployment.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive support and relationship management.

• Travel to customer accounts within the territory, attend company training sessions and meetings, trade shows, and conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related life science discipline.

• Over 5 years of significant flow cytometry experience in a clinical environment, including expertise in spectral flow cytometry.

• Excellent customer-facing skills and the ability to build strong relationships.

• Proficient in communicating complex technical information in a clear manner.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Capable of diagnosing and resolving intricate technical issues.

• Ability to collaborate across functions and document issues, root cause analyses, and resolutions.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• Skilled in independently managing a travel-intensive schedule along with multiple customers and projects.

• Adaptable to changing priorities and urgent requirements.

• Effective in a remote work environment.

• Willingness to travel up to 85% annually, including overnight stays.

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

• Master’s degree or PhD preferred.

• Relevant laboratory experience pertaining to the supported subject.

• Strong foundational knowledge in immunology and hematology.
