This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main technical liaison between Wolfspeed and customers located on the East Coast.
• Facilitate the progression of scalable SiC design victories from initial design to high-volume production.
• Ensure technical collaboration across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.
• Serve as the global technical authority for designated East Coast clients, supporting Wolfspeed's SiC initiatives.
• Oversee the collaboration of cross-regional FAE, sales, and engineering teams.
• Foster the adoption of scalable platforms across various geographical locations and manufacturing facilities.
• Align customer design teams with the product, quality, and operations teams at Wolfspeed.
• Offer system-level expertise on SiC MOSFET and module implementation, including switching optimization, gate drive design, thermal performance, power density, EMI mitigation, and layout best practices.
• Assist in automotive-grade qualification and reliability standards.
• Influence early-stage architectural decisions to leverage SiC performance benefits.
• Identify and promote platform-level opportunities across various customers.
• Advocate for design reuse and scalable architectures within Automotive, Energy, and AI infrastructure projects.
• Support the transition of AI data center power towards improved efficiency and higher switching frequencies enabled by SiC technology.
• Collaborate with Device Engineering, Product Marketing, Quality & Reliability, Operations, Supply Chain, and Capacity Planning teams.
• Manage escalations, risk mitigation, and design validation processes.
• Provide insights into Wolfspeed’s product development roadmap.
• Lead technical design evaluations, workshops, and discussions on failure analysis.
• Assist with customer audits and engage in technical discussions with executives.
• Travel internationally as required for significant customer milestones and strategic projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in power electronics applications, FAE, or system design positions.
• Extensive knowledge of SiC MOSFETs and power modules.
• Strong expertise in high-voltage power conversion (400V–1200V+).
• Proven skills in optimizing thermal and switching performance.
• Experience in supporting Automotive, Industrial Power, or Data Center applications.
• Demonstrated capability to collaborate across global regions and influence large EMS organizations.
• Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging both engineers and executive stakeholders.
• Familiarity with automotive qualification processes (preferably AEC-Q, ISO 26262).
• Understanding of high-volume manufacturing ramp and capacity-constrained environments is preferred.
• Experience with AI data center power supply architectures is a plus.
• Background in reliability analysis, mission profile evaluation, or field failure diagnostics is preferred.
