Field Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the extensive Littelfuse portfolio and assist customers in discovering complete system-level solutions that integrate various product families.

• Offer technical assistance to customers throughout the application development and design-in phases.

• Evaluate customer needs and propose suitable technical solutions in collaboration with internal product and engineering experts.

• Diagnose technical challenges and aid in laboratory testing, validation, and the investigation of application-related issues.

• Collaborate with Sales to pinpoint technical opportunities and support design wins in key customer initiatives.

• Present technical information, conduct workshops, and provide product training for customers and distribution partners.

• Work alongside Product Management, R&D, and Quality teams to relay customer needs and contribute to the advancement of products and technology.

• Track technical opportunities, facilitate customer follow-ups, and disseminate application knowledge throughout the EMEA organization.

• Travel throughout EMEA to assist with customer projects, technical meetings, and training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum of 5-7 years of pertinent engineering experience in Field Application Engineering, Application Engineering, Design Engineering, or a comparable technical role.

• Familiarity with power semiconductors is regarded as a significant advantage.

• Equivalent experience in power electronics, industrial automation, protection, sensing, or related application fields will also be taken into account.

• Capability to comprehend system architecture, technical specifications, and customer application requirements.

• Proven ability and eagerness to learn and support a diverse array of technologies.

• Strong analytical skills and a practical approach to technical troubleshooting and validation.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both engineering and commercial audiences.

• Customer-oriented mentality and a willingness to collaborate closely with customers and Sales teams.

• Candidates with a background in design engineering should be comfortable in a customer-facing capacity.

• Proficiency in English.

• Knowledge of German and Italian is a plus.

• Willingness to travel around 50-60% within the EMEA region.
