This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead or assist in federal research, literature synthesis, and applied research consulting projects.
• Develop research plans, methodologies, and quality control measures suitable for library and federal research contexts.
• Create clear analytical outputs, briefings, and client-ready documentation.
• Collaborate with contracting officers and technical points of contact regarding project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
• Contribute to AlphaGov proposals by providing research and past-performance narratives when authorized.
• Practical experience in federal, library, or research institution consulting and research delivery.
• Capability to lead or assist in structured research methodologies, synthesis, and client briefings.
• Willingness to work as a 1099/project-based collaborator, including travel for client on-site engagements as necessary.
• Previous experience in research consulting for the Library of Congress, federal libraries, or civilian agencies is preferred.
• Knowledge of federal contracting mechanisms and IDIQ task orders is advantageous.
• An advanced degree in library science, public policy, social science, or a related discipline is desirable.
