FE Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Manage the Ethixbase Software Development team directly.

• Establish and uphold agreed-upon development processes.

• Ensure the accuracy and quality of the software produced.

• Estimate and monitor team time while providing work estimates.

• Oversee communication, business inquiries, leave approvals, appraisals, and recruitment.

• Collaborate with vendors and broader internal and external stakeholders.

• Develop software applications and features utilizing Agile methodologies, systems, and technologies.

• Coordinate team activities according to Product Owner designs and specifications.

• Create and document technical designs for software that is testable, scalable, performant, secure, and robust.

• Establish and promote coding standards and best practices.

• Support quality assurance gates and processes.

• Implement secure-by-design coding practices and ensure SCA and SAST scans are conducted.

• Conduct peer and code reviews, providing constructive feedback.

• Offer third-line support and troubleshoot application issues and defects.

• Report team status and enhancements using established metrics.

• Work with managers and leads to refine and enforce coding guidelines.

• Communicate effectively through presentations, screen sharing, and active listening.

• Comply with and enhance development procedures.

• Execute responsibilities in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, including CRA, EU Data Act, and GDPR.

• Exemplify company values, challenge existing processes, promote collaboration, and acknowledge team contributions.

• Enhance team knowledge through mentoring, documentation, and identifying external training opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of frontend experience with significant expertise in React, Vue.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

• Deep understanding of frontend architecture, software design, performance, and coding principles.

• Ability to develop creative, intuitive, and user-friendly features while adhering to clean code and best practices.

• Experience in conducting code reviews, mentoring, and providing technical guidance.

• Proficient in unit, component, and E2E testing (Jest/Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress).

• Extensive experience with Git, GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD practices.

• Knowledge of frontend security and vulnerability remediation (SonarQube, Ghost, or similar tools).

• Familiarity with using Claude/Claude Code or similar AI tools throughout the SDLC.

• Experienced in creating high-level designs (HLDs), low-level designs (LLDs), and technical documentation, as well as managing knowledge through Confluence.

• Proficient in using JIRA, managing support/production tickets, and troubleshooting issues.

• Capable of working with, maintaining, and modernizing legacy codebases.
