This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
β’ Deliver professional consulting and technical support for restaurant equipment to various organizational teams.
β’ Identify root causes for emerging and systemic kitchen equipment challenges, particularly in commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment, HVAC, control systems, and electrical systems.
β’ Monitor, analyze, assess, and enhance existing asset performance to uncover defects, boost reliability, lower costs, and minimize equipment downtime.
β’ Interpret and comprehend equipment service manuals, schematics, and specifications.
β’ Engage with restaurant Operators, cross-functional internal teams, and external vendors.
β’ Offer technical leadership and support to key stakeholders, including training when necessary.
β’ Mentor and motivate restaurant support teams on proper operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
β’ Utilize manufacturers to identify root causes of recurring issues.
β’ Convey technical knowledge to non-technical individuals in both written and verbal formats.
β’ Broaden knowledge of restaurant equipment and building systems beyond the primary area of expertise.
β’ Assess equipment and building functionality as an interconnected system and evaluate cause-and-effect relationships.
β’ Travel frequently to restaurants within the assigned region.
β’ Carry out additional duties as assigned.
β’ High School Diploma.
β’ CFESA, EPA, or other equivalent industry-recognized certifications.
β’ In-depth knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
β’ Experience or knowledge in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and water treatment.
β’ Strong communication skills.
β’ Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
β’ Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
β’ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
β’ Self-driven for ongoing personal skill and knowledge enhancement.
β’ Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
β’ Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
