Fabric Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and publish Power BI reports that utilize Fabric semantic models in both DirectLake and Import modes.

• Convert business requirements into logical data models and user-friendly, well-structured report layouts.

• Create and optimize DAX measures that drive key performance indicators for the business.

• Collaborate with business partners to gather, document, and refine reporting requirements.

• Implement row-level and object-level security within semantic models to adhere to governance standards.

• Ensure report accuracy by validating against source data.

• Develop certified datasets and reusable templates to facilitate self-service analytics.

• Engage in peer reviews of reports, DAX logic, and model designs.

• Share insights and collaborate across teams to translate data into actionable decisions.

• Leverage AI tools to enhance analysis and accelerate delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in creating Power BI reports and dashboards within a professional environment.

• Required hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including data modeling.

• Proven experience with AI tools is essential, showcasing a history of their application in your work.

• Proficient knowledge of DAX for measures, calculated columns, and time-intelligence functions.

• Strong understanding of data modeling principles such as star schema, relationships, and cardinality.

• Ability to use SQL for querying relational sources and verifying the data supporting your reports.

• Experience with Power Query and M for transformations in Import mode.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to present data and address challenges.

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.

• Experience related to membership or loyalty programs is a significant advantage.

• DP-600 Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification is preferred and must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
